A small workshop · A two-person workshop (fictional)
Things made of wood, meant to outlast us.
Chairs, stools, bowls and the odd table, shaped by hand from local hardwoods. Every piece starts as a conversation.

No. 01
The Long Room chair
Ash, oiled
Steam-bent back, a seat carved deep enough to forget about. Made in sets for a family table.
No. 02
Hearth stool
Walnut offcuts
Three legs so it never wobbles on old floors. Each one uses what is left from larger work.
No. 03
Everyday bowl
Cherry, turned green
Turned while the wood is wet, then left to move as it dries. No two settle the same way.

Why we work this way
Most of what we make is joined without screws: wedged tenons, pegged joints, nothing that loosens with the seasons.
We finish with oil and wax so a scratch can be rubbed out at home, the way furniture used to be looked after.
A piece should get better looking the longer it is used.
