Website Ownership

Who pays for hosting on a build-only website?

· 4 min read

“One-time website build” describes the design and development fee. It does not mean that the internet infrastructure is free or that a website can remain online without hosting. Understanding the difference helps you compare proposals and avoid a dependency you did not intend to buy.

Three separate costs to understand

The build pays for the agreed pages and functionality. The domain is the address people type into a browser; it is normally registered and renewed through a registrar. Hosting stores and serves the website. A platform may bundle some of these services, but its account and billing arrangements still matter.

Paid extras can include a form-delivery service, booking platform, ordering provider, licensed font or other software. Not every site needs them. Ask which services are necessary for the agreed build, what they cost and who owns each account before approving the project.

Own the provider accounts yourself

At Hyper Solutions, you buy and pay for hosting, your domain and any paid third-party services directly. We do not provide hosting or sell a hosting subscription. We can provide one-time launch and domain-connection assistance in your accounts. Keep billing, recovery details and account ownership under your control, rather than under a designer’s personal login.

You may need to grant temporary access to complete launch work. Use a provider’s collaborator or invitation tools where possible instead of sharing passwords. After handover, review access and ensure you know how to sign in, renew services and contact the provider when needed.

Match the website to the hosting

A static informational site, a database-backed application and a content-management system have different hosting requirements. Our affordable packages are for straightforward websites, not new software products. We agree the hosting suitability before committing to features such as a contact form.

One basic contact form is included where suitable for the agreed client hosting. A form needs an actual delivery or storage destination; a success screen alone is not evidence that an email arrived. Any necessary paid form service remains your responsibility and should be disclosed in the scope.

Ownership does not remove maintenance responsibilities

You receive the delivered source files after full payment, subject to the licenses of third-party assets and tools. That makes the handover clear, but it does not promise free support forever. You remain responsible for provider bills, credentials and the accuracy of your business information.

We include 30-day defect correction limited to the delivered work. This is not a content-update service or a promise to repair unrelated provider problems. New pages, changed menus, redesigns and additional features are separately quoted. A CMS or self-service editor is not automatically included.

Know what the fixed build price includes

The $499 package covers up to three straightforward pages and one consolidated revision within the written scope. The $899 package covers up to five straightforward pages and two consolidated revisions. Both use client-supplied assets with light copy refinement, mobile design, basic on-page SEO and one-time launch assistance.

A consolidated revision means collecting your feedback together into an agreed round. It is not unlimited redesign or an open-ended change in direction. Complex features, extensive copywriting, custom commerce, integrations and additional scope need their own quote.

A sensible approval sequence

Start with a qualified homepage concept preview. Confirm the written scope and ownership terms before paying a deposit. Our process is 50% after approval, with the remaining balance before launch. Three-day production is a target only after complete approved content, deposit, access and compatible hosting are ready. DNS, owner approvals and exceptions may delay live launch.

No monthly plan is required by Hyper Solutions; optional monthly help is available only if you choose it. There can still be recurring fees to your chosen providers. Read the package details or request a preview before deciding whether a build-only arrangement is right for you.

Hyper Solutions builds informational websites only. Read the fixed $499/$899 scopes, client-paid hosting and ownership terms, or request a qualified homepage concept. No ranking or revenue outcome is guaranteed.
