Rebuilding an outdated Houston small-business website

· 4 min read

A dated website does not always need a complicated replacement. For many independent Houston businesses, the first improvement is to make real information easier to find: what you do, where you operate, how someone contacts you and what happens next. The same approach works for businesses elsewhere in the United States.

Review the current customer journey

Open the existing site on a phone. Can you read the text without zooming? Is the phone number tappable? Does the contact form have an actual working destination? Are hours, service areas and directions still accurate? Write down the specific problems rather than choosing a redesign only because another site looks fashionable.

Also check existing pages that people might already link to. A rebuild should preserve useful URLs or redirect retired pages intentionally. Replacing everything with a new homepage while abandoning old service links can frustrate customers and waste useful search visibility.

Choose a realistic page plan

A straightforward three-page site might have a homepage, services or menu, and contact information. A five-page site can separate useful information such as about, individual offerings or a gallery. More pages are not automatically better: each should answer a real question and have content the business can supply.

Our $499 package covers up to three straightforward pages; the $899 package covers up to five. These are fixed prices for a standard agreed scope, not promises to build any possible feature at that price. A written scope specifies the content, functionality, hosting suitability and exclusions.

Use accurate local information, not manufactured proof

A business based in Houston should say so accurately. A service-area business can describe the places it actually serves, but it should not invent branch offices or publish dozens of near-identical city pages. Use genuine photos and authorized testimonials when available. Demonstration websites should be clearly identified as concepts rather than passed off as paying clients.

Hyper Solutions is Houston-based and works with businesses nationwide. Our examples show design approaches, not a guarantee of revenue, rankings or a particular number of inquiries. Your services, competition, reputation and customer demand all matter.

Include the technical basics

Mobile-friendly layouts, readable contrast, useful headings, unique page titles and descriptions, appropriate canonical addresses and working links are a sensible starting point. Basic on-page SEO helps describe the site clearly; it cannot guarantee indexing or placement in search results.

A straightforward rebuild can include phone and directions links and one basic contact form if suitable for the agreed hosting. If you require appointment scheduling, online ordering or complex business workflows, decide whether linking to an existing provider is enough or whether a separate project is necessary.

Keep the accounts and costs transparent

You purchase and pay directly for your hosting, domain and any paid third-party services. A website still requires hosting, even when the design fee is one-time. Hyper Solutions does not sell hosting, and no monthly plan is required. We provide one-time launch/domain connection assistance in client-owned accounts and source-file handoff after full payment.

Prepare the assets before the delivery clock starts

Supply your approved logo, photos, service details, menu if relevant and existing provider links. The package includes light copy refinement, not unlimited content production. One consolidated revision is included with the three-page package and two with the five-page package. Collect feedback into those rounds to keep the process manageable.

The process starts with a short qualified homepage concept preview. After approval, we agree the scope in writing and collect a 50% deposit. A three-day production target applies only after complete approved content, deposit, access and compatible hosting are ready. DNS, owner approvals and exceptions can delay live launch. The balance is due before launch. Defect correction is limited to the delivered work for 30 days; future updates are separately quoted.

View clearly labeled examples and request a homepage preview if you want to explore a focused rebuild rather than an ongoing agency arrangement.

Hyper Solutions builds informational websites only. Read the fixed $499/$899 scopes, client-paid hosting and ownership terms, or request a qualified homepage concept. No ranking or revenue outcome is guaranteed.
